Though I use my 'artsy' canvas totes on a daily basis to cut down of my use of plastic bags it is still daunting how much plastic comes home with me from the grocery.  Too many products are packaged in plastic.

At home -- glass containers are beginning to replace 'plastic-ware' to store left-overs in my refrigerator.

Each tote is individually: 

*cut from heavy duck canvas

*hand-painted with fabric dyes, dry for 24 hrs, then heat-set
*2nd layer of dye added, dry for 24 hrs, final heat set

*cut into smaller pieces

*sewn on an industrial sewing machine
